Field Technician – Ontario Breeding Bird Atlas Project
Field Technicians for the Ontario Breeding Bird Atlas will collect field data on the occurrence, breeding behaviour and abundance of birds in the region. The Ontario Breeding Bird Atlas Project is seeking experienced field staff for the Ontario Breeding Bird Atlas to conduct bird surveys in Northern Ontario beginning in May 2024.

The coordinator works within the Motus Central team at Birds Canada, and collaborates closely with project partners. Motus infrastructure is a robust strategic movement ecology research asset, and utilized by hundreds of collaborating groups across the Western Hemisphere for pioneering science for conservation.

Job Posting – Accounting Associate
The Accounting Associate’s primary role is to support general accounting and accounts payable functions. The Accounting Associate plays a vital role on the Finance Team, working with the Finance Manager to accomplish a variety of accounting tasks including processing, compliance, communicating, analysis and reporting.
Volunteer Internship – Bird Observatories
Seasonal volunteer internships are available at Birds Canada’s two bird observatories situated at two of Ontario’s foremost bird migration hotspots; Long Point Bird Observatory, on the north shore of Lake Erie, and Thunder Cape Bird Observatory which it operates in partnership with the Thunder Bay Field Naturalists on the north shore of Lake Superior, near Thunder Bay, Ontario.
