La surveillance de ces populations est essentielle pour détecter les changements dans leur abondance et leur répartition au fil du temps, ce qui nous permet ensuite d'identifier et de mieux connaître les facteurs à l'origine de ces tendances préoccupantes et de contribuer à les atténuer.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Dans le sud de l’Ontario, où la déforestation a laissé des forêts résiduelles de petite taille fortement fragmentées et en grande partie gérées par le secteur privé, ces efforts de relevé et de sensibilisation sont essentiels pour soutenir les gestionnaires fonciers dans leur lutte contre les menaces et la préservation de l’habitat de ces espèces d’oiseaux en péril.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Depuis 2010, nous avons recensé plus de 27 000 ha répartis sur plus de 350 sites et collaboré avec plus de 200 gestionnaires fonciers, en soutenant leur gestion responsable par des mesures de sensibilisation et d’accompagnement en faveur des oiseaux forestiers et des espèces en péril, tout en surveillant nos espèces cibles afin de combler des lacunes importantes dans nos connaissances.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Toutes les informations issues des relevés ainsi que les recommandations de gestion associées sont partagées avec les gestionnaires fonciers afin d’éclairer directement leurs plans de gestion des sites et leurs activités de gestion, dans le but de favoriser la santé des populations d’oiseaux forestiers. Nos projets ciblés contribuent à renforcer les populations d’espèces en péril (par exemple, les nichoirs pour la Paruline orangée) et à combler les lacunes dans les connaissances afin de mieux
